Residential Insurance Report
IntroductionKeep a close eye on your roof and your insurance premiums down.
Many home insurance companies are now asking for a professional report to be issued by a Roofing Contractor with their professional opinion of the condition of your roof.
This is because defective roofs are the main cause of water ingress into properties.
Although the cost of repairing an old worn out roof will not be covered under your home insurance, the policy will cover the costs to repair any damage caused by the water ingress.
Understandably the underwriters want to keep their payouts down to a minimum, so a condition is placed on the policy that you must have your roof inspected and a report drawn up stating that your roof is in a sound condition.
Bi-annual InspectionsWe recommend that having annual or bi-anniual inspections of your roof is a cost saving exercise as small issues can be found and dealt with before they escalate into bigger expensive problems.
While we carry out the inspections, we can clear your roofs and gutters of debris, ensuring that build ups of water do not flood your home because of blocked outlets, valleys and drains.
Typical costs of this type of inspection with a full photographic report are between £150 and £300 plus VAT
